Theta Shines at NACE CORROSION 2019

From March 24 to 28, 2019, Theta (formerly Bogan Technology) participated in the NACE Corrosion Conference & Expo 2019, held in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. As a leading innovator in industrial IoT and smart monitoring solutions, Theta presented its latest technologies for bolt loosening detection, corrosion monitoring, and equipment condition monitoring—demonstrating the strength of Chinese innovation on an international stage.

At the exhibition, Theta unveiled its patented wireless bolt loosening detection system. Utilizing a non-intrusive sensor mounted on the bolt head, the system measures rotational displacement with an angular error of less than 2°, providing fast and accurate assessment of bolt fastening conditions. This technology has already been filed for invention patent protection.

Theta also showcased its advanced ultrasonic wall thickness monitoring solutions for corrosion detection. The system achieves ±0.02 mm accuracy at ambient temperature and features a proprietary dual-guided rod design with thermal compensation for high-temperature applications. It supports continuous monitoring of pipelines and vessels under extreme conditions ranging from -200°C to 650°C, making it ideal for oil, gas, and chemical industries.

A live demo platform was set up at the booth, enabling Theta engineers to present the system’s core functions and workflows in real time. The exhibit drew strong interest from attendees, with several international clients initiating preliminary discussions on future collaboration.
