Stay up to date with Theta’s latest innovations and progress
From October 18–20, 2021, Theta will make its debut at the China Wind Power (CWP) 2021 exhibition, held at the China International Exhibition Center (New Venue) in Beijing. Visit us at Booth E446 in Hall E4 to explore our latest innovations and discuss collaboration opportunities.
At this event, Theta will present its cutting-edge wireless bolt loosening monitoring system, which has already seen extensive deployment in offshore wind farms. Our wireless bolt loosening sensors are industry-first innovations capable of detecting both bolt loosening angles and preload forces—with angle accuracy within 2° and preload measurement error within 2% of the rated preload. Designed with ultra-low power consumption and equipped with long-life lithium batteries, these sensors offer up to 10 years of maintenance-free operation. The robust IP67-rated plastic housing ensures durability in harsh environments, while the compact form factor does not interfere with bolt servicing.
For tower flange and foundation anchor bolts, we offer an all-in-one wireless sensor that is easy to install with no wiring required.
For blade root bolts and those with inner hex heads or steel balls, a split-type design is available, consisting of an ultra-thin probe and a compact sensor unit—perfect for tight installation spaces.
In addition, Theta’s wireless tilt sensor provides continuous monitoring of tower and foundation inclination, supporting real-time risk detection and early warning to ensure wind turbine safety.
The full wireless sensing architecture integrates seamlessly into the wind farm’s fiber optic ring network. Sensors communicate with on-turbine gateways to collect real-time data on bolt condition, all accessible via a centralized platform that supports sensor management, historical data logging, graphical visualization, and automatic alarms.
Theta’s wireless bolt monitoring and tilt sensing systems are fully cable-free, allowing for fast installation and dramatically reducing maintenance costs while enhancing the reliability and safety of wind turbine operations.
